I have a Bachelors of Journalism from Ryerson University and a Scriptwriting degree from Algonquin College, making me proficient in writing for both fiction and non-fiction in a number of different formats. My work has also made me an excellent researcher and interviewer, always on the hunt for new and exciting stories to tell.

2019 NYC MIDNIGHT SHORT SCREENPLAY COMPETITION FINALIST

NYC Midnight is a four-round, elimination style screenwriting competition in which writers have 48 hours to write a five-page script containing specific genre, location and item prompts. I was lucky enough to place 10th out of over 1000 participants. Below are the scripts that I wrote for the competition.

HITTING THE MARK

In a remote Northern Ontario hunting lodge, two Canadian con men stage a fake firearm accident to blackmail a visiting American businessman.

GUTTERBALL JOURNALISM

Toronto mayor, Ashton Smithe, holds a press conference the day after suffering an alleged crack cocaine overdose. But instead of confessing his addiction, Smithe surprises the press with a strange announcement.

LAST BOAT OUT OF MEMPHIS

An illegal immigrant escapes a surprise ICE raid by stowing away on a barge going down the Mississippi River. But when the barge crew finds the man, they have to decide whether to turn him in or harbor a fugitive.

THE PORCELAIN GHOST

In early 19th century Geneva, a craftsman of intricate automatons receives a surprise night visit from his wealthy patron.
